Children learn best when they are listened to and their interests are incorporated into the classroom curriculum. Where there is interest there is excitement, extension of imagination, and the building of friendships.
Five friends were playing on the rug. One friend, Rylan said that when he grows up he wants to be a firefigther. When Smadar asked them would you like to learn more about firefighers, all joined in with YES. So the question was: Could our classroom become a fire station? Yes, it absolutely could, but what would we need to create our fire station.
First no fire station is complete without a fire truck. So off we went to make our own firetruck.
We worked cooperatively, and persistently making sure that all areas of our truck was RED. The lower parts were easy, but with persistence we reached very high and persevered and covered all areas. Our fire truck was ready.

what a terrific project! it's great to see the children all lined up and painting together!
