Dried Fruit Strudel for Tu' B'shevat

The Unicorn friends helped baked delicious Dried Fruit Strudel today. First, we cut up the dried fruit, like apricots, dates and figs. The dried fruit was perfect for this time of year because we are now learning about Tu’Bishvat- the birthday of the trees. Then we rolled out the dough so that it was nice and flat. We used the fruit and some jam inside our strudel. Afterwards, we helped to roll up the flat strudel into a loaf. These strudels were made in preparation of our shin-dig on Friday with our families. We are looking forward to enjoying our creation together.

Here is our recipe

  1. Smadar shared some leftover strudel with us today after the Shabbat Shindig! Mia gave it two BIG thumbs up. Picky eater Michele did not think it would be her thing but decided to trust Smadar and give it a taste. It was DELICIOUS!!!!! Thanks Unicorns!
