In Africa

We are continuing our adventures in Africa. We have set up our tent and from there have been going on explorations and learning a great many African traditions. We have learned what the counting words for 1 to ten are in Swahili and also began doing some weaving. We are continuing to use our African names and have created many beautiful pieces of art using bright colors such as orange, black, yellow and green.

We have also made many African based stories and tales and have a favorite one called Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters by John Steptoe. The Haifa class is continuing its' visit in Africa this week with some very special things happening. Stay tuned for the details
