Today the children were surprised to hear that Jewish children go to school everyday in Israel except for Saturday. The could not believe the children in Israel had to go to school on Sunday too. Saturday is of course Shabbat, a day to rest, play, and pray. This morning we spent some time in a Tel Aviv preschool. Everyone enjoyed creating a page for Mia's Birthday Book. We are looking forward to celebrating with Mia and her family tomorrow. On Tuesday, we will set up our own Shuk in the Dramatic Play area.
