We have been busily learning how to use tools in the Etzim classroom. It is challenging to use a hammer and a screwdriver, and requires patience and persistence to even drive a nail into something. We were ready to build with something that provided more immediate results (and great satisfaction!) Such intense focus in a room filled with activity! All you need are mini-marshmallows and toothpicks! Yes, we eat ate one, but only one. We have focus and amazing self-control!

Eliana was so excited to tell me about this today - she also told me she ate one but only one because it's "sugar"! And of course shared that the one she ate wasnt "toasted with fire"!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a great activity! I'd love to try this at home, thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea.... We heard a lot about marshmallows today and it made her want to cup open other things. Love food experiments....now can you get them to eat brussels sprouts:)!!!
