Why is it easy to return to school after a holiday break? Because we are part of such a loving community, with good friends who invite us to Thanksgiving feasts! Last Wednesday the Shamayim class invited us to join them for a feast, extending the Jewish value of Hachnasat Orchim, or welcoming guests. This invitation was very exciting for the Etzim children. We prepared something to share (pumpkin bread and oranges), we talked about friends we had in the Shamayim class, and wondered what that colorful treat we saw in the refridgerator, prepared by Shamayim, might be (jello!)
