Teaching early mathematics concepts to young children can truly benefit them as life long learners. In the developmental continuum, the early childhood years are an essential time period for acquiring a foundation for many educational concepts. Today in the Etzim classroom, we explored early mathematically concepts by playing with peg boards. With different colored rings, children in the classroom could be heard counting, creating patterns, and having fun all at the same time.
