the same but different

Every Friday we bake challah as one of the special ways we prepare for shabbat.  Some weeks we put raisins in our challah, other weeks we have chocolate chips.  Every week we decorate our paper bags that will hold our challahs when they are done baking.

Stickers, crayons, glue and sparkles, chalk and markers are just some of the tools we've used to decorate the bags.  Today, the children arrived to find BIG photographs of themselves, glue sticks and markers.  They glued their photo onto the bag and had the option to add more with the markers.  Some children wanted paper to cut, as well.

It was fun to add a different touch to a routine we know and love!
