Sharing and Caring ~ Unicorn Kindness

We have all heard of the Toddler's Motto: If I touch it, it's mine, if I look at it, it is mine, even if I move away it is mine." It is just always MINE!!! Then we move forward....

In the story of The Big Hungry Bear, the only way to save the red ripe strawberry from being eaten by the big hungry bear is to cut it in 2 pieces, one for me and one for you.

Well the Unicorns took this sharing to an entire different level. Sadie and Lily said "look we're sharing our chair and paper." Ryan said to Dylan, after Dylan asked for some magna tiles "you can have 18!" Rachel and Eli both wanted the triangle shaped magna tiles, so they traded colors.
During outside time, both Rylan and Drew came to the teacher and said "We're fighting over the cup." We responded " What do you think you could you do about that?"
When you involve children in the process of thinking through solutions to their dilemmas the often come up with great solutions! Rylan said: "we can get another cup," then said "we could share it." Great sharing and problem solving!!!
