A Jam Session

Lunch bunch with the Sunshine and Unicorn class included a jam session on the xylophones this afternoon. An enormous xylophone with separate pieces was introduced along with two smaller attached xylophones. Some children were interested in the sounds made by each piece, noticing the different tones. Others were interested in the way the rubber ends of the mallets bounced off the metal keys. They worked together to strike the keys in creative combinations. The music was so beautiful that children from the Tel Aviv and Haifa classes came to investigate and try it out, too.
