Shabbat Shalom
Let us welcome Shabbat!
A day of rest
A time of joy
A family of celebration
Shabbat begins each Friday before sundown with the lighting of the candles
and ends each Saturday after sunset with Havdallah service.
Of all the Jewish festivals, only one comes every week of the year~Shabbat~
Everyone is busy during the week. Children go to school.
Adults work and care for their families.
But for one day each week we spend time enjoying Shabbat.
Today friends gathered at closing circle to talk about what we need to do
to prepare for our special first Shabbat.

But for one day each week we spend time enjoying Shabbat.
Today friends gathered at closing circle to talk about what we need to do
to prepare for our special first Shabbat.
We moved our tables together to make it different from everyday, got out our
special table cloth and set our tables with pretend Challahs, candles sticks,
a Kiddish cup, a Tzadahah box and Challah covers.
We all decided to try and bake an eggless Challahs to take home tomorrow.
We are ready! And can't wait to celebrate Shabbat together with our Unicorn friends, listen to Shabbat stories and learn new Shabbat songs.
