On our nature walk this week, the Haifa All Stars collected many items from nature. The children were particularly fascinated by the acorns that they collected. On Tuesday, we put out all of our nature collection on a large plastic sheet. Each of the children then put the acorns which he or she had collected into a large plastic bottle. After that, we all made an individual predictions as to the amount of acorns that were in the bottle.
Today at circle, we counted together the number of acorns in our bottle. The results were amazing! As a class, we had 118 acorns in our collection. The children were fascinated during the entire collection and counting process.
