The Haifa class was greeted this morning with a table invitingly filled with flour, salt, water, cream of tartar, and a big bowl. What could be happening? Playdough of course. The children measured and mixed. Then the freshly made, still pleasingly warm dough was turned out onto the table to use. Each child approached it in a different way: using cutters to make shapes, rolling it out with a variety of textured rolling pins, patting, molding, and rolling.
