We don't think about it much, but we use our hand muscles every day for writing, opening, typing, buttoning, and more. Children's muscles have to be fairly strong to sustain the fine motor demands of school life. Cutting is just one of the many ways we work to help children develop those muscles. The Scientist lunch bunch kids were inspried to create. Out came sheets of poster board and scissors and the cutting began. Illustrating each cut piece and then cutting again became a game and we soon collected a whole pile of work, proof that those growing muscles are getting stronger every day.
Great cutting info.
