Sibling connections

A unique aspect of TBSCC is that children have opportunities during the day to interact with their siblings, maintaining the connection to their families even while at school.  Today brothers Eli and Noah worked together to create an ice cream shop.  I ordered a banana milkshake and after confirming whether or not I'd like it made in the Vitamix, they got to work scooping in the ingredients.  Noah remembered that I like Lego shaped candy, so the finished treat was topped with a few pieces ("That's what the bigger rocks are," he informed me.)  The casual observer would not have known these two were brothers.  As they worked other children moved in and out of their play, and both demonstrated the ability to give ideas and take direction.  It was a typical cooperative play scenario made unique only by the value of shared experiences between brothers.

  3. How cute! Super funny that they wanted to make the ice cream in the Vitamix my latest appliance for making healthy foods. I love that they have each other and my hope is that they will be lifelong friends!
