What fun can be had from a simple combination of water, glue, and Borax. The children never seem to tire of making the gak and then exploring its unique properties. Today Sam and Nathaniel were fascinated by how the gak dripped off the table like "a waterfall". They loved the fact that the gak was "cold", "shiny", and "stretchy". "What makes it stretchy I asked?" "The glue of course", exclaimed Sam. Within a few minutes this ever changing substance ended up in hundreds of very small pieces which became an all group clean-up activity. Thank you Julia for your help in reining in the gak!
