We had previously decided to make lemonade. What ingredients are needed to make lemonade? Well lemons of course, but the real problem was the children thought they were making PINK lemonade. Lemons are not pink, so how are we going to make PINK lemonade. Alison had an idea "use cranberries." Luckily there were cranberries in the refrigerator (:!!!
So we squeezed those cranberries and the juice did turn "pink". so we added it to the lemon juice that was squeezed.
The final test was the taste test.
How was it? Well.. most friends said it was "sour" then we learned another name for sour would be "tart." Soo what could we do to change the taste of the juice? Friends decided SUGAR might do the trick. Well we added the sugar, but it was STILL SOUR/ TART. So what else could we do to change the flavor of the lemonade? One friend said "add water" and so we did.. It was decided with the water AND sugar the lemonade was just RIGHT.!!!
On Tuesdays, the Scientist lunch bunch friends are invited to share time with the Unicorn Lunch Bunchers, Dylan and Jacob. We had 3 taste tests. Friends thought it tasted better with water, and all wanted seconds!!!
