Stanley finished his breakfast and used a pink napkin to wipe the juice from his mouth. The napkin was made from paper and he knew what do to with paper when he was done with it. He searched all around for the recycling symbol. He knew it looked like a triangle with arrows. "I wonder if they have recycling in Israel," he thought to himself as he searched.
Then he saw it! He could spot the recycling symbol anywhere. He climbed all the way to the top of the bin. As Stanley went to put his napkin into the bin, suddenly he felt himself being lifted. What was that? Who was lifting him? Stanley looked up and saw that a lady in a blue shirt was about to put him into the recycling bin! "Yikes! I'm not for recycling!" he shouted, "I'm just a flat boy! Don't throw me in there! Help!"
"Who are you?" asked the lady in the blue shirt, quite startled by Stanley's cries. "I'm Stanley," he told her. "And I'm not trash!" The lady set Stanley gently on the ground. "I didn't mean to scare you. I just saw you under that pink napkin and I thought you were old paper for the recycling bin," she said. "That was a close call," thought Stanley. "I hope my next adventure in Israel isn't so scary."
So glad Flat Stanley was rescued so he can report back on more adventures in Israel!
