Fridays are an exciting time at school and the children look forward to the weekly visit to the sanctuary. Each week we bring along the Shabbat ritual objects and a child or two has a turn to arrange the items on the table at the front of the sanctuary. This is a chance to take responsibility for something the whole school needs. Ruby decided to make it a chance for a bit of creative arranging as well, beautifully positioning the candles on either side of the table with the challah centered in the middle. With that we were ready to start our service.
