Challah for Shabbat
Shabbat was coming and Flat Stanley was getting ready. He knew the kids would be eating challah back at school and he didn't want to miss out. So off he went to the bakery.
But when he got there he realized there was a problem. There were so many different kinds of challah. Which one should he buy? Which one was the best? He decided to try them all!
First he tasted a round challah. No, that was not quite right. Round challah is for Rosh Hashanah and it wasn't Rosh Hashanah quite yet.
Then he tasted a poppy seed challah. Yum! But there was just one problem. The poppy seeds might get stuck in his teeth. Not quite right.
Next he tried the sesame seed challah. That was delicious. "I think sesame seed challah is the perfect challah for me!" said Stanley. As usual, he was so excited that he did his little dance. "This will be the best Shabbat ever," he said. "I am so excited to eat challah in Israel!"
Shabbat shalom from Flat Stanley to you!
