100 days of school has finally arrived. We started off the day decorating our delicious cake with different colored frosting that the children made and then adding 100 m&m's on top of the cake to make it a special 100 day cake. So for snack today we ate the cake and also shared 100 grapes from Noah and 100 marshmallows from Daniel.
Besides eating today, we also made a 100 day chart using pom poms. The children have had a lot of practice this week counting to 100 by using 1's, 5's and 10's. Today was a really fun day for the Scientist class. We made sure to tell the children that they still need to come to school tomorrow and the counting will continue.

I can't tell if I am terrified or tempted by that cake! Either way, I am sure the kids loved it and it's evident from the photos the joy they felt celebrating the 100th day!

ReplyDeleteBoth my boys were so excited by this. Eli got a glimpse into what he'll get to do in a few years and since he thinks he is 5 just like his brother he already counts by 10's. WONDERFUL! Noah is so proud of his crown that he has been wearing it around the house.
