Doing a mitzvah

In the Scientist class, we have been learning about Purim. One of the mitzvot Jews are to fulfill on Purim is to give food and sweets to our friends and family, in boxes called mishloach manot. The Scientists have been working on decorating their mishloach manot boxes this week, and next week we will be baking hamantaschen with the help of some parents, as well as adding some more sweets to the boxes. We are then going to pull names out of a hat to see which box gets to go home with a friend in class. On Friday we put the finishing touches on the outside of our boxes so that we can worry about the inside as Purim draws closer!
