The rescue

"I need a shovel!" said Matthew. But the only shovel we could find was buried under many layers of snow. We could only see a tiny bit of its bright red handle peeking out. For weeks it had been frozen so deep we didn't even know it was there. But as the snow started to melt, we finally caught sight of the top of the handle. The challenge began: Could we dig it out? A team of children quickly assembled with scoops and shovels and began to dig. Alex, Jonathan, Matthew, Jake, and Noah worked together, digging and strategizing about how to best rescue the shovel.  The space was small and the work tough, but they worked and worked, excited about achieving their goal.  And finally... success!  The shovel was free.
