Aden spent over 10 minutes trying to peel the apple with the only knife available to him. It was very important that he do so by himself even though I could have helped him with a sharper knife. I must say that I was very impressed with his determination and focus. He had a clear goal and worked as hard as possible to achieve it. He finally had to settle for eating the apple as is. Along with the apple he enjoyed a "no bake hamantaschen" made with bread, sun butter and jelly. Tomorrow I will bring in an apple peeler!
