The Tel Aviv class has worms in their sensory table and today we decided to take a few outside for some worm races!! Children from the Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Kochavim classes gathered around the picnic table to watch the worms squirm as they moved towards the "finish line." We talked about how worms move and how we know which end of the worm is the head and which is the tail. At the beginning of the race we had a few worms wiggling in the wrong direction so we had to turn them around. Mia, Ryan, Alana, Ally, Dylan and Eliza loved watching the worms so much that they went back into the Tel Aviv class and each picked out a worm to "race." they gave them names and brought dirt over to the table so they would be comfortable outside. It was a neat observation and we had a great time exploring the worms together!
