Aaron and his friends spent another day rebuilding TBS, on the construction site in the block center. Apparently the hammers got a lot of use. Aaron came over to me with a "real" problem. His hammer broke. He asked, "Lauri do you think this glue is going to work, to fix the hammer?" I said, "Why don't you try it and see what happens." We walked over to the art center and Aaron put some glue from the glue stick on the hammer. He said, "Lauri it did not work." I asked him to look around the art center for something else he could fix the hammer with. He picked up the Elmer's glue and said, "Let's try this." After he applied the glue he showed me how the top of the hammer still came off the handle; but he suggested, "Maybe we should let the glue dry for a while." We put the hammer on a shelf for the rest of the day so it will have a chance to dry. Tomorrow we will see if it worked!
Aaron loves to fix things. I can't wait to hear if this works.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear if it worked too. And I'm sure Aaron has a back-up plan if it doesn't. He's quick with the scotch tape too.
ReplyDeleteSo...did it work?
