Planting Pumpkin Seeds

We have had lots of hands-on experiences with pumpkins and other types of squash this fall. We cut open the pumpkins to see what was inside. We smelled and touched the insides (optional, of course). We counted the seeds. We let our squash dry out and could hear the seeds inside as we shook it.
And finally, we planted some of the seeds. "Maybe a plant will grow - a sunflower" one of the children said.
