Jake helps us welcome in prayer and song the first night of Chanukah.
After lighting the first candle we put the lit candles on the sensory table. We were careful observers... What happened to the candles?
May everyone enjoy this first night of Chanukah with family and friends.
I was greeted this morning with a beautiful table set up in the Unicorn room. Several menorahs laid out on the table, ready for the children to arrange the candles. My favorite childhood Chanukah memory is of getting to decide which color candles to use. It always felt like such an important and difficult decision to make. I love that you are providing so many opportunities for all of the children to do this.
ReplyDeleteTonight while our Hanukkah candles were burning, we sang songs and put puzzles together. When they were burnt out and it was bedtime, Eli said to me, "Our candles burnt out just like Miss Maria's candles did." I'm glad he had the chance to make these observations at school and at home.
