It's Hibernation Day

The hibernation day finally arrived in the Unicorn classroom. Friends came dressed in their pajamas. Our cave became very cozy with a huge tiger shark for a pillow and we snuggled in under our covers to get ready to hibernate. We weren't going to hibernate like some of our animal friends for the winter~ just a little while. But first we decided to read a couple of books Somebody and the Three Blairs and a book about all the different animals that hibernate for the winter. Thank you to the Tel Aviv All Stars for sharing this hibernation book with us. We learned that more than bears hibernate in the winter. You may want to ask your children about some of the animals hibernate for the winter. Clues: 1) slithers 2) hangs upside down 3) tiny red and flies, and of course bears.
When we woke up we had a special treat in our cave as well. We were sooo hungry we had TWO snacks today. One in the cave: twin bear crackers and popcorn while we watched a special show Miss Smadar brought in and showed on the computer screen. Later in the day, we also had oranges and apples.
Since we started our morning in hibernation mode, we had a very silly day and did things a little backwards. We took attendence at the END of the day. We had a fun filled day!
