  1. I use the blog to catch a glimpse of what is going on in the Scientist room (since my daughter tells me nothing)

P.S. The race is on M Markley!!!!!

  2. I use the blog to separate/join "Samuels world" from/to reality. He tells me everything, which is uniquely from his perspective. It also helps me track where he's left his socks and shirts during the week.

  6. After using the blog to engage my daughter in conversations about what is going on in school, as well as to find new fun songs and other ideas to use at home, and then sometimes using it to keep Mia busy while I do her brother's bedtime, I then use the blog to keep myself busy when I am supposed to be doing something else. I get to actually read what I want, rather than just what Mia chooses, and I use commenting to share with the teachers and Ellen how wonderful the work they are doing is. And to hopefully engage others...

    How's that Marcy? ;)

  7. I am always learning something from the blog. There is a teacher with a new way of looking at a classroom moment, a newly emerging interest of a child, or an interesting slice of conversation that makes me think.

  8. I love watching the expression on Jesse's face when I ask him about something I learned from the blog. . .he looks at me thinking, "huh?? How did you know that?" We also love looking at the blog with Jesse. It's a great way for the family to come together and learn through the eyes of our four year old.
I also enjoy reading the comments!
Didn't know the pictures could be downloaded. . .

  9. I use the blog to keep up with both of my boys, Eli and Noah. They LOVE reading the blog with me. They think it is so fun to see themselves especially in the videos. I think this blog is such an amazing addition to an already wonderful experience at TBSCC! I fear I will miss this type communication once Noah starts kindergarten this fall. Maybe TBSCC can become a learning model for the local public schools! Now there is a good challenge for you Ellen!
