Chanukah "Giving"

Since September the Unicorns have generously given on Fridays, coins and dollars for Tzedakah.
As we celebrate our many blessings, we also have been reminded of those who are less fortunate than ourselves. After rereading our story about the poor family and the magical latkes that were given to the family for "giving" sharing what little they had to the old lady who was also in need, we asked again, "what" could WE do?
The children responded with some of the same ideas and added some:
"We want to buy gloves, food, mittens, jackets, cake, fleece, vests, boots, hoods, a car, zipper up, hats and cereal".
We decided to open up our Tzedakah jar and count up all the money that has been generously given since September. We took a walk to show them what has been purchased already and placed our envelope full of money towards the purchase of some winter items.
We have a total of $20. If you would like to take the envelope home and use some of the money and have your child "select" and "purchase" an item of their choice with some of the money collected, please let us know. It would be a wonderful opportunity for them to participate in the gift giving.
