Scientist friends arrived to Sewing 101 with a desire to make stuffed animals. Miss Maria offered an alternative for consideration: a pillowcase.. A simpler project with straight lines for sewing. But as one can see the stuffed animal won out.Friends had a template... the bear. First they needed to trace the bear onto the material, then cut, then pin.. now ready for sewing. Lots of curves.... The finished project will be displayed later.

super project! the children are very ambitious!
ReplyDeleteNoah loves his bear! It has proudly joined his mountain of animals that already live in his bed. I am so impressed with this project.
ReplyDeleteI like how your photos show the children working on each step of the process.
ReplyDeleteAlison is so proud of her bear. She has been carrying it around with her all weekend. But, watch out, Maria. She says the class wants to make HUGE bears next:-)
