The Schedule: A Joint Post by Jacob & Ellen

Jacob:  Come look at this.  This is the magic wand.  Yesterday Max had a problem.  He wanted to know when his grandma was coming to pick him up.  So I showed him.  First we have to go outside.  And first we have to have snack.  Then singing.  And then it's time to go home!

Ellen:  It's only the fourth day of school and already, the children are teaching me the schedule.  One by one, during free play time, they approached the board, smiles on their faces, ready to walk me through the components of their school routine.  First Jacob, then Max, then Sam.  The bulletin board that features the schedule is posted right at their eye level and the wand is nearby.  What a wonderful way to allow the children to manage the flow of their school days.
