On Friday, Ezra's Mom, Karen brought us some homemade latkes. She read us a wonderful book titled The Runaway Latkes. She and and Ezra lit the Chanukah and Shabbat candles, recited the blessings and we all ate challah with latkes and applesauce. Parents and siblings are always welcome in our classroom, especially during holiday celebrations to strengthen the home-school connection.
