It was interesting to watch all the ways the picnic area of the playground was bring used today. Plopping down on the gravel floor, I found children engaged in a wide variety of activities. Who knew pebbles could provide such endless opportunity for imaginative play? Lincoln worked with his feet, using his shoes to carve our a path. "I'm making a railroad," he explained, showing me how he was using his foot to create a track of dirt. Eli and Noah were nearby cooking up ice cream concoctions. Jacob Shaw joined the fun, laying out a row of pebbles on the blacktop. With so many uses for these pebbles, it's a good thing we have an endless supply!
